Family & School Partnership
The Parent-Teacher Association
OIST believes a nurturing, high-achieving school is built through collaboration. The PTA is the bridge between families and the school community — strengthening communication, trust, and shared involvement in every student’s journey.

Our aims
What the PTA works toward
The PTA at Oxford exists to make family involvement a genuine part of school life — not a formality. Four aims guide everything the association does.
Active involvement
Encouraging parents to take part in school life and decision-making, not just observe it.
Shared community
Promoting a strong sense of community and shared values among families, staff and students.
Volunteering
Supporting school activities, events and improvement initiatives through volunteering and fundraising.
Open dialogue
Providing a direct channel between parents and school leadership for transparency and continuous improvement.
Elected voices
A parent representative for every section
Parents in each section of the school elect a representative who acts as a liaison with school leadership — coordinating feedback, facilitating PTA initiatives, and making sure ideas and concerns are heard.
Early Years
A dedicated voice for the youngest learners' families, from settling-in routines to daily school life.
Primary
Representing Primary families in ongoing dialogue with school leadership and PTA initiatives.
Secondary
Championing Secondary families' feedback as students move through exams and key milestones.
You're already a member
Every parent and guardian of an OIST student is automatically part of the PTA — no sign-up required. You’re warmly encouraged to join meetings, projects and events throughout the year.
