A Support System Built Around Every Student

Support System at OIST

Every child can progress with the right support, a student-centered approach, and a strategy tailored to their individual needs. That belief shapes how we teach, assess, and intervene at every stage of a child’s journey at Oxford.

Our belief

Progress starts with the right support

Every child can progress

Given the right support, every student has the potential to move forward.

Student-centered approach

Teaching that responds to how each student actually learns.

A strategy for the individual

No one-size-fits-all — support is tailored to individual needs.

Differentiated Classes

Certain subjects — Mathematics among them — are divided into differentiated classes. This allows teachers to give closer attention to students who need extra support, while offering greater challenge to more advanced learners, within the same subject and grade level.

Mathematics, by ability level

Instead of one pace for an entire class, students are grouped so instruction can move at the right speed for them — reinforcing fundamentals where needed, and stretching students who are ready to go further.

Our aims

Introducing: Support Sessions

A dedicated Support Session is built directly into the regular timetable — giving every student access to targeted, individualized intervention.

Diagnostic assessment

Each student's needs are identified through a diagnostic assessment.

Individualized plan

Results shape a personal remedial plan built around that student.

Targeted intervention

Students receive focused help to overcome challenges and progress.
