Admission criteria

What we look for in every applicant

Oxford International School of Tunis aims to provide a high-quality education to every student who meets the following three criteria for their intended grade level.

Age appropriateness

The student must be of the appropriate age for the grade level they are applying to, based on the British school system's year-group ages.

Academic readiness

The student must demonstrate the academic skills and abilities needed to succeed in the OIST curriculum.

Behavioural suitability

The student must be able to adapt to the school's rules and regulations and contribute positively to school life.

Step 1 · Prepare your documents

Required documents by key stage

Have these ready before starting the online application. If academic records are not in English, French or Arabic, please provide an official translation.

Copy of the applicant's passport (information page)
Copy of each parent's passport (information page)
Passport-sized photo of the student
Passport-sized photo of each parent
Completed student medical form
Copy of the immunization record
Academic records, if applicable

The process

Five steps from application to enrolment

Completing the application and gathering all required records is the family’s responsibility. Falsifying or omitting information may result in disqualification or nullification of acceptance.

Prepare your documents

Gather the required documents for your child's key stage (see checklist above).

Submit your application

Request and complete the OIST application form, and schedule an intake assessment and interview.

Pay the assessment fee

A non-refundable fee is required to be considered for admission.

Assessment & key stage placement

Placement follows the child's age as of September 1, per the British school system. Candidates sit on-site English and mathematics assessments; results inform — but under age 10 do not necessarily preclude — admission. Further ESL or academic support testing may be required. Placement and enrolment decisions rest with school administration and are final.

Official enrolment

Sign the Student Commitment Letter and Home/School Agreement, return original documents to the Admissions Office, and settle the invoice issued by the Finance Office.
